Agile Test Engineer Vacancy - Utrecht

We are looking for an Agile Test Engineer to work for a new media company in Utrecht. It is an international company with several price and product comparison websites and with branches in various European countries.

Job profile: Agile Test Engineer
You will be responsible for the functional, performance load testing of software, applications and websites. Focus lies on testing from an end user perspective. Activities include both manual and automated regression testing. In your role as test engineer you maintain and improve test processes and procedures. Together with the business owner you determine the priority of test cases. You actively maintain test plans and test result documentation.

Your added value comes from having a passion for testing - having a hands-on attitude - and your willingness to take ownership of 'quality'. You are a team player. You are pro active and don't mind performing test activities on an individual basis. You preferably follow developments in agile test methodologies and test tools.

* Responsible for the overall quality of software releases of our websites and applications;
* Develop and maintain (Agile) test procedures;
* Develop and maintain quality standards for projects (Sprints);
* Develop and maintain release criteria for our software releases;
* Document test plans, cases and results;
* Functional testing of websites and applications - both manually and automated;
* Performance load testing of websites and applications;
* Implement and execute test scripts for automated testing;
* Analyze test results, document conclusions and recommendations;
* Actively maintain our issue tracking system;
* Closely interact with team members to enforce quality standards;
* Coordinate unit testing as performed by developers.


Job criteria: Agile Test Engineer
* Bachelor or Master degree preferably in Computer Science;
* Knowledge of common Internet technology and application architecture;
* Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript;
* Preferably experience with working in an Agile environment;
* Are familiar with automated functional and load testing tools;
* You are comfortable with programming and/or scripting languages;
* ISTQB or TMAP certification is strongly preferred;
* Fluent in English. Skilled in Dutch, French or Finish is very much appreciated
